1. Who we are

LANTech Solutions ("we", "us", "our") provides managed IT, networking, security, cloud, hardware and communication services in Lesotho. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website (https://www.lantech.co.ls).

2. Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us directly through the forms on this site, including:

  • Contact & enquiry forms — name, email address, phone number, company and your message.
  • Quote requests (general and Tech Store cart) — the same contact details plus the products/solutions and budget you specify.
  • Consultation bookings — your contact details, preferred date/time and topic.
  • Support tickets — your contact details and a description of your issue.
  • Job applications — your name, contact details, message and any CV file you upload.
  • Newsletter sign-up — your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
  • Website assistant (AI chat) — the messages you type into the chat widget, sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a reply. We do not knowingly ask for or store sensitive personal information through the chat widget.

We also automatically receive limited technical information common to any website visit (such as IP address and browser type) via standard server logs, and — if reCAPTCHA is enabled — Google reCAPTCHA processes some technical signals to help us tell human visitors from automated bots.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you submit to: respond to your enquiry, quote request, consultation or support ticket; process a job application; send confirmation and follow-up emails about a submission you made; improve our services and this website; and, where you have subscribed, send occasional updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Who we share information with

Form submissions are stored in our secure database and are visible only to authorised LANTech Solutions staff. We use the following third-party services to operate this website, each of which processes limited data as described:

  • Email delivery (mail.mgc.co.ls) — to send you and our staff notification/confirmation emails about your submission.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — to help distinguish human visitors from bots on our forms.
  • Google Gemini — to power the website chat assistant, if you choose to use it.

We do not share your information with any other third party except where required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and for our internal records, or until you ask us to delete it (see Section 7).

6. Cookies & local storage

This site uses a session cookie to keep your form submissions secure (CSRF protection) and to remember your place while browsing. If you use the Tech Store, your shopping cart is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device — we do not receive or store your cart contents until you submit a quote request.

7. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to: tell you what information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; or delete information we hold about you (subject to any legal or legitimate business reason we may need to retain it, such as a completed transaction). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the information you submit, including encrypted (TLS) email delivery, CSRF-protected forms, and access-controlled admin systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
